We also are a certified referee laboratory for animal feed testing through the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS) and National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA), and we are a Florida Department of Agriculture Certified Feed Lab for nutrients, mycotoxins, and microorganisms.

We perform tests that can identify chick edema (hydropericardium), which has a high mortality rate and can result in a huge loss of stock. Chick edema is caused by a toxic factor in some feed-grade fats and fatty acids. Through poultry testing services, we also are able to identify many other diseases and contaminants that may affect the proper, healthy growth of the birds.

Farm operators can send in samples for us to test the environment for contaminants, as well as to make sure growing birds are free of diseases including salmonella and listeria to help ensure the flock is healthy before heading into processing.
